Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP7569 Zero-U Basic Rack PDU

Overview

The AP7569 is a zero-rack-unit, basic-switched power distribution unit rated for 208V three-phase operation at 14.4kW. It installs vertically along the interior rail of a standard equipment rack, consuming no rack unit space — the right call when every U in a dense rack is spoken for. With 30 total outlets (24 C13, 4 C19, and 2 L6-30R), it handles a mix of 1U servers and appliances on C13, higher-draw gear such as rack-mount UPS units or storage arrays on C19, and hardwired or twist-lock connections on the L6-30R receptacles. The AP7569 is a straightforward non-switched, non-metered PDU — no network management, no per-outlet control. If your deployment needs remote outlet switching or power monitoring, this is not the correct model.

Compatibility

Designed for two-post and four-post equipment racks with a standard vertical rail channel accommodating a zero-U mounting profile. The 208V three-phase input matches typical North American data center and IDF closet branch circuits fed from a 3-phase panelboard — confirm your local branch circuit is wired for 208V 3-phase before ordering. The 2-pole L6-30R receptacles accept L6-30P plugs, common on higher-draw rack-mount NVRs, servers, and UPS units. C13 outlets are compatible with standard IEC 60320 C14 power cords used across virtually all 1U rack appliances, switches, and PoE switches. C19 outlets accept C20 cords for higher-current devices. This PDU is non-intelligent and does not communicate with APC by Schneider Electric management software or any third-party rack management systems.

Installation Notes

Zero-U form factor installs vertically inside the rack using the mounting brackets — no rack units consumed. Input cord length is 3 feet; position the PDU close to the branch circuit outlet or use an appropriate extension rated for the load. Verify the branch circuit breaker is sized for the 14.4kW (approximately 40A at 208V 3-phase) maximum load before commissioning. The black finish matches standard rack aesthetics. No software configuration required.
