Description

Transition Networks TN-QSFP-100G-SR4 QSFP28 Transceiver

Overview

The Transition Networks TN-QSFP-100G-SR4 is a QSFP28 transceiver module designed for 100 Gigabit Ethernet applications over multimode fiber. It supports the 100GBASE-SR4 standard, enabling high-speed data transmission up to 70 meters using an MPO connector. This module is ideal for short-reach, high-bandwidth connections within data centers or between adjacent network closets where density and speed are paramount. Its 850nm wavelength is optimized for multimode fiber infrastructure.

Compatibility

This QSFP28 transceiver is compatible with network switches, routers, and servers equipped with QSFP28 ports that adhere to the SFF-8665 standard. It is designed for use with equipment supporting 100GBASE-SR4 specifications, typically found in enterprise and data center networking gear. Verify your host device's compatibility with 100GBASE-SR4 SR optics and MPO connectors.

Installation Notes

Ensure the host device's QSFP28 port is clean before insertion. The TN-QSFP-100G-SR4 utilizes an MPO connector, requiring a corresponding MPO fiber optic cable. For optimal performance and to achieve the rated 70-meter distance, use OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber. The module operates on a 3.3V power supply and includes Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) for real-time performance data.
