This 24-port unit fits the M5300 modular architecture, delivering 10G uplink capability with comprehensive Layer 2+ switching, VLAN-based traffic filtering, and PoE+ power delivery across all ports. Compatibility
The AX743-10000S integrates into the NETGEAR ProSafe M5300 series fully managed stackable switches. It is compatible with 24-port and 48-port M5300 Gigabit copper models and Fiber aggregation variants. The module plugs into the two 10 Gigabit I/O bays available on M5300 units, enabling seamless stacking and redundancy via Virtual Chassis technology (including meshed stacking). Verify your M5300 unit has available modular bays before installation.
Installation Notes
The AX743-10000S draws up to 880W and supports PoE+ (802.3at) delivery with a 520W PoE budget per unit. Ensure your power infrastructure can supply the full wattage; undersized PSUs will throttle port availability. User-selectable VLAN ID configuration allows flexible network segmentation without firmware changes. Configure VLANs via the NETGEAR web GUI or CLI to isolate Voice over IP traffic, multicast video streams, and data flows—critical for converged voice/video/data environments in commercial buildings and campus LANs.
