The AP8704S-NAX340 is a six-piece kit of locking C13-to-C14 power cords, each 1.2 m (4 ft) in length and color-coded red. Red coding is a practical circuit-identification standard in data center and telecom cabinet environments — it lets technicians trace power paths at a glance without following cables end to end. The locking C13 connector clicks securely into a C14 inlet and resists accidental disconnection during cable management or rack servicing. Designed for equipment with IEC 60320 C14 power inlets — including APC rack PDUs, APC Smart-UPS and Symmetra UPS output receptacles configured with C13/C14 connections, and third-party servers, KVM switches, and rack-mounted appliances that accept C14 input. The C13 locking connector is compatible with standard C14 receptacles; verify that your PDU or UPS model exposes C14 outlets (not C19 or NEMA) before ordering. Installation Notes
Insert the C13 connector until the locking tab audibly engages — a partial click does not provide the retention benefit. To release, depress the locking tab before pulling. Confirm your facility's color-code standard before deploying in a mixed-cord environment to avoid mislabeling circuits.
