Vertiv 29130 Metered Surge PDU
Overview
The Vertiv 29130 is a 1U horizontal rackmount Power Distribution Unit (PDU) designed to deliver reliable power to critical IT equipment within a rack or cabinet. It features built-in surge protection with a 720 Joule rating and a local digital display for real-time power metrics (Amps, Volts, Watts, Power Factor). This PDU is ideal for environments lacking facility-level surge suppression or for applications requiring an additional layer of protection. The local LED display provides instant feedback on power consumption, helping to avoid accidental overloads when deploying or moving equipment. Every unit undergoes 100% testing for reliability.
Compatibility
This PDU is designed for standard 19-inch (483mm) racks. It accepts a NEMA 5-20P plug and provides ten NEMA 5-20R receptacles. The 10ft power cord is suitable for most standard rack depths. It operates within a voltage range of 100-120V and a current rating of 20A, with a load capacity of 1.9kW. The 20A thermal breaker provides over-current protection.
Installation Notes
The PDU mounts horizontally in a standard 19-inch rack. The power cord is 10ft long. Operating temperature range is 10-45°C (50-113°F). It is UL & c-UL Listed for safety.
