ACTi CTI-CPOPS-PC27-VPU VPRO PC Module
Overview
The CTI-CPOPS-PC27-VPU is an OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) PC module built for ACTi A+ and XT series control panels. It pairs an Intel Core i7 12th-generation processor with integrated graphics, designed to serve as the compute backbone for mid-to-large surveillance installations where panel-based recording, analytics, and multi-camera management demand consistent performance without external tower hardware.
Compatibility
This module integrates directly into ACTi A+ and XT panel chassis. It functions as a hot-swappable compute unit, eliminating the need for separate rack-mounted servers or desktop PCs in control-room deployments. The OPS form factor allows installation into compatible panel slots, simplifying cable runs and reducing floor space.
Technical Specifications
Processor & Memory: Intel Core i7 12th-generation (6-core architecture), paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM. This configuration handles real-time encoding of multiple concurrent video streams and running event-driven analytics without lag — typical for 8–16 camera feeds at 30 fps across mixed resolutions.
Storage: 256GB SSD provides fast boot and application responsiveness, reducing VMS initialization time and database query latency during forensic review. SSD also cuts wear typical of mechanical drives in 24/7 surveillance duties.
Graphics: Integrated graphics (no dedicated GPU) sufficient for multi-display output and real-time playback on 1–2 monitors at standard resolutions. Not designed for GPGPU-accelerated analytics or GPU-based transcoding; rely on the CPU for processing tasks.
Power & Environment: Low-profile design fits OPS bays; power drawn through panel backplane connections. Operating range supports typical server-room and climate-controlled control-center environments.
Deployment Context
Choose this module when migrating from standalone desktop recorders or when consolidating multiple small surveillance systems into a single panel-based platform. It is not a replacement for purpose-built NVRs in large-scale multi-site deployments, but excels in mid-sized integrated control environments where real estate, cabling, and operator workstation density matter.
