Overview
The Geovision 88-SN8EBD27-2TB bundles the GV-SNVR0812 standalone network video recorder with 2TB internal hard drive storage and six IP cameras. The NVR supports up to 8 IP camera channels and features integrated PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) ports that deliver both network connectivity and power simultaneously to attached cameras—eliminating the need for separate PoE switches in compact deployments. This package is built for small to mid-scale commercial surveillance where you need a turnkey solution without external infrastructure.
Compatibility
The GV-SNVR0812 is compatible with Geovision IP cameras and third-party ONVIF-compliant cameras. The six included cameras ship ready to integrate with the NVR; additional cameras can be added up to the 8-channel maximum. Built-in PoE+ ports eliminate dependency on external switches for the first six or fewer cameras, streamlining installation in retail stores, small offices, and branch locations where space and power infrastructure are limited.
Installation Notes
The NVR records video directly to its internal hard drive without external storage dependencies. PoE+ power delivery (802.3at standard) supplies power and network data over a single Ethernet cable to each camera—verify your cabling runs do not exceed 100 meters per IEEE 802.3at specs. The unit is designed for indoor stationary deployment; environmental operating range and exact power consumption details should be verified with the manufacturer datasheet. Joystick control is available via the optional GV-Joystick V3 or GV-Joystick V2 for PTZ camera operation if your package includes motorized cameras.
