The Panduit FW2RLU1U1ONM035 is a 35-meter (114.8 ft) OM5 wideband multimode fiber patch cable from the Panduit QuickNet™ fiber infrastructure line, terminated with LC duplex uniboot connectors on both ends. OM5 50/125µm wideband multimode fiber supports shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) — meaning a single duplex run can carry multiple 25G or 40G wavelengths simultaneously, extending usable bandwidth on existing two-fiber plant beyond what OM4 can support at equivalent distances. At 35m, this cable is sized for long cross-data-center runs: main distribution area (MDA) to equipment distribution area (EDA), or MDA-to-HDA structured cabling in larger fiber optic patch cable deployments. The LSZH jacket keeps it compliant in plenum-adjacent or enclosed-pathway installations where halogen off-gassing is a life-safety concern — a hard requirement in European-code facilities and increasingly specified in US data centers.
LC duplex terminations on both ends mate with any standard LC-duplex SFP+ or SFP28 transceiver port: Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and UCS series; Arista 7050 and 7060 series; Juniper QFX and EX platforms; HPE FlexFabric and Aruba CX switches; and Panduit's own QuickNet fiber trunk and cassette systems. OM5 is backward compatible with OM3 and OM4 equipment — existing LC-SFP infrastructure will accept this cable without adapter changes, though SWDM bandwidth gains require OM5-capable optics on both ends. Meets structured cabling standards TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B, making it valid for TIA-942-B rated data center certification. Consult your transceiver vendor's reach table: at 35m, OM5 comfortably supports 100G-SR2 and 40G-SR4 parallel optics as well as SWDM4 100G duplex operation.
The uniboot LC connector design routes both fibers through a single jacket at the connector boot — this halves the cable stack height in high-density patch panels and simplifies polarity management in a structured cabling environment. Verify polarity scheme (TIA-568 A or B) against your cassette or adapter panel before deploying at scale. LSZH jacket requires no special conduit in open-pathway installations meeting LSZH-rated specs, but confirm local AHJ requirements before routing outside dedicated pathways. At 114.8 ft, route planning matters — allow for rack dress and service loop before cutting trunk segments to avoid length shortfalls.
