Description

Panduit FW2ERLNLNSNM6.5 OM5 Fiber Cable

Overview

The Panduit FW2ERLNLNSNM6.5 is a 2-fiber OM5 Wideband Multimode fiber optic cable assembly, featuring LC Duplex connectors on both ends and a 1.6mm Riser (OFNR) rated jacket. This pre-terminated cable is engineered for rapid deployment in high-density environments like data centers, telecommunications rooms, and equipment distribution areas where efficient and reliable fiber optic connectivity is critical for infrastructure backbones.

Compatibility

This cable is designed to terminate into standard LC Duplex ports found on network switches, servers, transceivers (like SFP, SFP+, QSFP+), and other network interface devices. Its OM5 Wideband Multimode fiber type supports a broad range of wavelengths, ensuring compatibility with existing and future short-reach applications, including 40GbE and 100GbE over distances up to 150 meters, and lower speeds over longer distances. It meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B standards, ensuring broad system interoperability.

Installation Notes

The Riser (OFNR) flammability rating makes this cable suitable for use within building risers and general-purpose horizontal pathways, but it is not recommended for use in plenums or air-handling spaces where plenum-rated (OFNP) cable is required. The 1.6mm jacket diameter offers a balance between flexibility and durability for structured cabling installations. Ensure proper bend radius management, adhering to the minimum bend radius specified by TIA-568.3-D, to prevent signal degradation or cable damage.
