Overview

The Panduit FZ2ELLNSNSNM4.5 is part of the QuickNet™ pre-terminated fiber infrastructure line — a 2-fiber OM4 multimode patch cord with LC duplex to SC connectors, 1.6mm jacketed, finished with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outer sheath. It is built for data centers, telecommunications rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas where rapid deployment of pre-terminated fiber is the priority over field-terminated runs. The LSZH jacket matters in enclosed, poorly ventilated cable pathways: in a fire event, it produces significantly less toxic smoke than PVC or plenum alternatives — a real factor in occupied equipment rooms and facilities where egress is constrained.

Compatibility

Designed for OM4 multimode (50/125µm) infrastructure. LC duplex on one end connects to SFP+ transceivers, switches, and active equipment with LC ports — common on data center ToR switches, fiber channel HBAs, and 10/40G network gear. SC on the other end pairs with legacy SC patch panels, building entrance terminals, and fiber distribution frames still common in structured cabling plants built to TIA-568.3-D and ISO/IEC 11801. Compliant with ANSI/TIA-942-B data center cabling standards, making it appropriate for Tier-rated data center buildouts that require standards-traceable bill of materials. Works with any fiber optic networking infrastructure supporting OM4 multimode. The 1.6mm jacket diameter is thinner than standard 2mm or 3mm cordage — it routes cleanly through high-density cable managers and tight bend-radius fittings without adding bulk, but handle with appropriate care in environments with heavy foot traffic or frequent moves-adds-changes. LSZH compound is less flexible than PVC at very low temperatures; if deploying in cold storage or outdoor equipment shelters, verify the installation temperature range against your facility's conditions.
