Geovision 94-NC54T-C32 32-Channel NVR Cube
The Geovision 94-NC54T-C32 is a 32-channel network video recorder built into a compact cube enclosure, running an Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and a pre-installed 4TB hard drive. It's the right choice when you need straightforward IP camera recording in a footprint that doesn't demand dedicated rack space — sits on a shelf or desk without consuming a system cabinet.
Overview
This NVR records up to 32 simultaneous streams from any ONVIF-compliant IP camera. The i5 processor and 8GB RAM handle standard HD and 1080p bitrates typical of mid-scale surveillance deployments. The 4TB HDD provides baseline retention; for longer hold times or higher channel density, prepare for HDD replacement or external RAID expansion using verified SATA interfaces. Power delivery is via a standard 12V/5A external adapter (included). Gigabit Ethernet is required for camera input — 100Base-T networks risk frame drops at higher channel counts.
Compatibility
The 94-NC54T-C32 records from any ONVIF Profile S or T-compliant IP camera, including Geovision's own camera lines and third-party vendors (Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha, etc.). Verify ONVIF support on your specific camera models before deployment to avoid codec negotiation issues. Native integration works with Geovision's GeoVision software platform. Third-party VMS platforms (Milestone, AXIS Camera Station, generic ONVIF clients) consume streams via RTSP or HTTP, though event-driven alerting may require additional configuration outside the Geovision ecosystem.
Installation Notes
The 4TB HDD is pre-installed but may require BIOS/firmware initialization on first boot. Provide adequate ventilation — the i5 processor generates sustained heat during 24/7 recording. For 4K input, carefully manage bitrate to avoid CPU bottlenecking; 32 simultaneous 4K streams will not be supported without stream reduction or re-encoding overhead.
