Overview
The ATEN PE6216A is a rack-mount eco PDU designed for data center and server room power distribution. Carrying the PE6216A model designation, it fits standard rack enclosures and provides managed outlet-level power control — the right fit when you need monitored, switchable power distribution across IT and AV equipment without running separate power management infrastructure. The included 3 m power cord gives enough reach for most mid-depth rack installations without an extension.
Compatibility
The PE6216A is part of the ATEN PE6216 series alongside the PE6216B and PE6216G variants, which differ in regional safety certification scope. The PE6216A carries cTUVus and PSE verification, making it suited for North American and Japanese deployments. It is compatible with standard 19-inch rack enclosures. For deployments requiring TUV-CB or GOST certification (European or Russian markets), specify the PE6216G variant instead. ATEN's Nrgence ATEN power management line includes compatible software and SNMP management tools for centralized monitoring across multiple PDU units in a rack PDU deployment.
Installation Notes
Operating and storage humidity must remain within 0–80% RH non-condensing — standard for enclosed server rooms but worth confirming in edge deployments like warehouse comms closets or outdoor-adjacent enclosures. Firmware v1.5.148 (released 2026-05-29) is the current production release; update via ATEN's firmware package before commissioning in managed environments to ensure SNMP compatibility with current network management platforms. Safety certifications are pre-validated for cTUVus and PSE; additional regional certifications are available by request directly from the manufacturer.
