Pelco INT-OCCUPANCY Occupancy Counting Service
The Pelco INT-OCCUPANCY is an NDAA-compliant occupancy counting service that integrates with VideoXpert v3.11.x and above. It provides real-time and historical occupancy data by counting people crossing virtual IN and OUT lines drawn over Pelco cameras equipped with advanced analytics capabilities. Deploy this when you need to track space utilization, enforce occupancy limits, or analyze foot traffic patterns across retail, office, warehouse, or facility-management environments without custom development.
Overview
The INT-OCCUPANCY service comprises three operational components: a Configuration application for drawing region boundaries and IN/OUT lines over compatible Pelco camera streams; a standalone Dashboard for live and historical occupancy display accessible to administrators and facility staff; and a VxOpsCenter plugin for operator-level monitoring within your existing VMS workflow. This architecture means occupancy counting runs as an integrated VideoXpert service rather than an external third-party module, reducing integration complexity and support overhead.
Compatibility
The INT-OCCUPANCY service requires VideoXpert Pro version 3.11.x or higher. It works exclusively with Pelco cameras that support advanced analytics — consult your camera's datasheet or contact pre-sales engineering to confirm analytic capability. The Configuration application and Dashboard run on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 systems that can network-connect to your VideoXpert deployment. The VxOpsCenter plugin integrates directly into VxOpsCenter for operator dashboards without separate installation.
Installation Notes
Prior to deploying INT-OCCUPANCY, ensure VideoXpert Pro 3.11.x is installed and operational, and that your Pelco cameras are provisioned in the VideoXpert system with video streams active. The Configuration application connects to VideoXpert to access live camera feeds; you define occupancy regions by drawing IN and OUT lines interactively on the video canvas. After configuration, the service runs in the background; no additional hardware is required. License the occupancy counting service through your VideoXpert licensing mechanism before activation.
