Description

PioneerPOS 46B-U32000 MSR 1-3 USB Magnetic Stripe Reader

Overview

The PioneerPOS 46B-U32000 is a USB A magnetic stripe reader (MSR 1-3 format) designed for compact, low-profile integration into POS workstations and retail surveillance environments. The 15–17 inch stealth form factor allows mounting within or beneath counter spaces without disrupting sightlines or aesthetic constraints. Reads ISO/IEC 7813 magnetic stripe cards (credit cards, employee badges, loyalty cards) and delivers keyboard-emulated data directly to connected systems via standard USB Type-A — no drivers or middleware required for basic card-present transactions.

Compatibility

Works with any Windows, macOS, or Linux system supporting standard USB HID (Human Interface Device) keyboard protocol. Compatible with legacy POS terminals, retail management systems, and access control platforms that accept keyboard input. The USB Type-A connector integrates into standard hub infrastructure — no proprietary docking or power requirements beyond 5V USB bus power.

Installation Notes

Mount in counter edge recesses or under-counter raceway using the stealth bracket system (included hardware). Position the reader head 0.5–1.0 inches below the counter surface for customer card insertion without visibility from the front. Ensure USB cable routing avoids sharp bends or traffic zones to prevent wear. USB cable length allows up to 16 feet from the host terminal when using an active hub; direct connection to the computer's USB port recommended for fastest card read (<100 ms processing time).
