Overview

The MFR-2027GE is a 20-space mobile furniture rack from the Middle Atlantic MFR series built for production environments, presentation suites, and staging setups where equipment must move between locations without being stripped down and rebuilt. At 22.63 in. wide, 42.03 in. tall, and 27.37 in. deep on 4-inch casters, it fits a standard 19-inch panel width and delivers 23.19 in. of usable depth — enough for shallow-to-mid-depth AV and security gear without the compression fit that causes cable strain. The Grained Ebony Ash melamine finish and plexi door make it suitable for client-facing spaces where a raw open-frame equipment rack would look out of place. UL-rated load capacity is 250 lbs, which covers a full 20U of mid-weight gear.

Compatibility

Accepts any standard 19-inch rack-mount equipment on 10-32 threaded rails — NVRs, video management servers, PoE switches, patch panels, and PDUs all mount without adapter hardware. The 20 RU of usable space accommodates a typical small-to-mid enterprise security stack: a 4–8 channel NVR (1–2U), a managed PoE switch (1U), a UPS (2–3U), and supporting accessories, with headroom to spare. Monitor mounting is supported, making it practical for standalone recording stations or mobile command setups. The melamine wood construction is not rated for outdoor or high-humidity environments — deploy in conditioned indoor spaces only.

Installation Notes

Casters are 4-inch, providing enough clearance for cable routing underneath. Usable rack height is 35.16 in. (89.3 cm) — verify this against your tallest chassis before ordering. The 10-32 rail pattern is the North American standard; metric-thread (M6) cage nuts are not compatible without a rail adapter. Shipping weight is 116 lbs — plan for a two-person delivery and positioning. Do not load beyond the 250 lb UL-rated limit; the weight includes the rack chassis itself.
