Overview
The FPO250-C8E1 is a 250W, eight-output fused power supply designed for access control systems, electric locks, door strikes, and magnetic locks in commercial security installations. Eight independent 3A fused outputs deliver 250W across either 20A at 12V or 10A at 24V configurations. This supply fits integrated access control architectures where multiple locks, readers, and door controls need protected, isolated power from a single chassis.
Compatibility
The FPO250-C8E1 integrates with access control panels and standalone electric lock systems requiring 12V or 24V DC power. It pairs with door strikes, magnetic locks (maglocks), electric latch retraction (ELR) devices, and credential readers that draw under 3A individually. Suitable for multi-door installations where each output independently protects a single device — loss of one lock's fuse does not affect the other seven outputs.
Installation Notes
Each of the eight outputs is fused at 3A, limiting per-device current draw. Total system load cannot exceed 20A (12V) or 10A (24V). Wiring to locks and controls must account for voltage drop over distance — longer runs to remote doors require heavier gauge conductor or lower-impedance routing. Verify all connected devices fall within 12V or 24V DC tolerances; overvoltage to low-voltage controls will destroy firmware and credentials. The enclosure houses all fusing and distribution — mount in a secure electrical cabinet or secure room away from high-moisture environments unless the installation plan calls for a weather-rated external enclosure variant.
