Description

Lifesafety Power FPO250-2F8PE1 250W Power Supply Enclosure

Overview

The FPO250-2F8PE1 is a 250W AC-to-DC power supply built for distributed access control, intrusion detection, and low-voltage camera lighting circuits in commercial security systems. It delivers either 20A @ 12V or 10A @ 24V selectable output, split across 16 individual FAI (fire alarm interface) control outputs, each current-limited to 2.5A. This architecture lets you power multiple field devices—door locks, motion sensors, panel expanders, strobe modules—from a single supply without daisy-chaining, reducing single points of failure and simplifying troubleshooting. The E1 enclosure rating provides light-duty environmental protection suitable for indoor electrical closets, server rooms, and security control rooms.

Compatibility

The FPO250-2F8PE1 integrates with Lifesafety Power control panels, fire alarm interfaces, and any access control or intrusion system architecture using 12V or 24V low-voltage circuits. The FAI control outputs support standard relay-grade signaling compatible with industrial door locks, electromagnetic strikes, buzzer modules, and sensor input cards. No specialized software or drivers required—it functions as a hardwired power distribution node. Consult your panel documentation to confirm voltage selection (factory-set at order).

Installation Notes

Mount the E1 enclosure vertically in a DIN-rail cabinet or wall-mount using supplied hardware. AC input requires standard 120V or 240V wiring with appropriate breaker protection upstream. Each of the 16 control outputs is individually fused and can deliver up to 2.5A; do not parallel outputs to exceed this limit without external load management. Output terminals accept #14 to #8 AWG wire. Verify voltage selection before commissioning—the unit ships factory-configured and cannot be field-switched between 12V and 24V modes. Keep the enclosure in a temperature-controlled space; E1 rating does not include outdoor or unheated deployment.
