Description

Lifesafety Power FPO150-2D8E4V1 Backup Power Enclosure

Overview

The FPO150-2D8E4V1 is a 150W, 12V backup power supply mounted in an E4V1 steel enclosure (24 inches high, 20 inches wide, 4.5 inches deep). Purpose: deliver sustained 12V DC to surveillance and access control systems when mains fails. The 16 fused auxiliary outputs let you split power across multiple circuits—each protected independently—so a short in one camera or reader doesn't cascade into a system-wide blackout. Deploy this in any commercial facility where you need uninterrupted camera, door control, or alarm signaling: retail stores, warehouses, parking structures, school buildings.

Compatibility

Designed for integration with Lifesafety Power 16DR Vertx systems and compatible with any surveillance or access control architecture requiring 12V DC distribution via fused auxiliary channels. Verify frame compatibility with your existing cabinet or mounting surface; the E4V1 enclosure is a standard form factor in commercial security installations.

Installation Notes

Mount the FPO150-2D8E4V1 in a conditioned or semi-conditioned indoor space (avoid direct moisture or extreme temperature swings). Wire 120V or 240V mains input according to local electrical code; secure all auxiliary output connections to load terminals with appropriate gauge wire for the circuit amperage. Fused outputs protect downstream equipment, but verify fuse ratings match your camera/reader draw. Keep the enclosure accessible for battery maintenance and fuse replacement during system lifecycle. No external UPS batteries are pre-installed—specify and integrate battery modules separately based on hold-up time requirements (typically 24–48 hours for commercial security).
