Description

Lifesafety Power FPO150-2D8E1 150W Auxiliary Power Supply Enclosure

Overview

The FPO150-2D8E1 is a 150W fused auxiliary power supply built to distribute regulated 12V or 24V power to multiple security devices from a single source. Sixteen independent 3A fused outputs mean you can power door locks, magnetic switches, card readers, and ancillary sensors without overloading a single circuit — each output is isolated and protected, so a short on one line won't cascade to others. The E1 enclosure provides industrial-grade protection suitable for electrical closets, control rooms, and utility spaces where surveillance and access-control infrastructure converges.

Compatibility

The FPO150-2D8E1 integrates with any surveillance, access-control, or building-automation system that requires 12VDC or 24VDC auxiliary distribution. Common deployments include powering multiple door-strike relays in a single cabinet, supplying emergency lighting circuits alongside camera infrastructure, or supporting badge-reader arrays in multi-door access points. The fused architecture is compatible with standard security panel configurations that accept external auxiliary supplies.

Installation Notes

The E1 enclosure mounting location should be dry, well-ventilated, and protected from direct water spray — ambient operating range is typical for indoor electrical installations. Each of the 16 outputs is fused independently at 3A, meaning the maximum load per output is 36W on 12V or 72W on 24V. Total capacity is 150W, so simultaneous activation of all 16 outputs at 3A each is feasible only at 12V; at 24V, you're limited to approximately 6A aggregate. Verify your total load before installation. Terminal connections use standard screw-down terminals suitable for 18–12 AWG wire; secure terminal blocks and label each circuit at the source for maintenance clarity.
