Lifesafety Power FPG200-BOXED 24VDC Power Supply
Overview
The FPG200-BOXED is a compact regulated power supply designed to feed distributed IP cameras, access control readers, and networked sensors across multi-building or international installations. Universal 100–240VAC input acceptance eliminates regional voltage variants—deploy the same unit from North America through Asia-Pacific without SKU changes. The 24VDC/8A output (192W total) supports medium-density camera clusters or mixed endpoint loads where PoE infrastructure isn't present or feasible.
Compatibility & Deployment Context
This supply pairs with non-PoE powered endpoints requiring regulated 24V DC, including older Lifesafety Power camera families and third-party 24V-input devices rated for 8A or less aggregate draw. It is not a PoE switch replacement; use it for hardwired 24V camera runs, distributed power nodes, or standalone endpoint power where network-injected power is unavailable. International certification (including Japan compliance) makes it suitable for system integrations spanning multiple jurisdictions without re-qualification.
Installation Notes
Standard DIN-rail or wall-mount orientation typical of industrial power supplies. Verify aggregate current draw of all connected 24V endpoints does not exceed 8A continuous. High-impedance, long-run installations (camera >300 ft from supply) may require voltage-drop analysis to ensure minimum 20.4VDC arrival at endpoints; consider intermediate power distribution or larger gauge wire runs.
When to Choose a Different Model
If endpoints require isolated 24V outputs per camera or need integrated surge suppression, evaluate higher-channel variants in the Lifesafety Power line. If PoE-capable endpoints are already installed, PoE switching simplifies cabling and eliminates separate power infrastructure.
