Description

Lifesafety Power B100-BOXED Programmable Voltage Power Supply

Overview

The B100-BOXED is a compact, field-configurable power supply engineered for IP security installations where voltage flexibility and current capacity matter. Output is selectable between fixed 12VDC or adjustable 5–18VDC at 4 amps — allowing you to power mixed endpoint classes (IP cameras, access control readers, environmental sensors) from a single enclosure. This eliminates the need for multiple supply units in installations where load diversity would otherwise force parallel deployments or external regulators.

Compatibility & Load Planning

The 4-amp capacity supports typical IP camera clusters (two to four mid-power fixed domes or bullets per supply, depending on IR load) and can be daisy-chained into larger systems via appropriate wiring terminals. For high-density layouts, pair the B100-BOXED with a managed PoE switch to distribute power across networked endpoints and reduce reliance on hardwired supply lines. Verify downstream device voltage ratings before configuring output—mismatched voltage to low-voltage readers or sensors can cause device failure or shorten operating life.

Installation Notes

Output is terminal-block connected (standard for compact industrial supplies). Confirm your input voltage source matches supply spec before wiring. The boxed form factor is suitable for surface or DIN-rail mounting in utility closets, electrical panels, or remote power distribution nodes. Adjustable output requires minor configuration via supply controls before live commissioning; refer to the unit's labeling for selection procedure. No external regulators or boost circuits are needed when using the adjustable range—the internal circuitry handles voltage stepping across the 5–18V band.
