Overview

The Lenovo 4Z57A10848 is a 24-port SFP+ Fibre Channel switch designed for high-performance Storage Area Networks (SANs). It provides the necessary connectivity for enterprise-class storage solutions, supporting auto-sensing port speeds up to 32 Gbps. This switch is ideal for deployments requiring robust data traffic handling and advanced fabric services, enabling efficient data access and management in virtualized environments.

Compatibility

This switch is compatible with 32 Gb FC SFP+ transceivers (short and long wavelength) and 16 Gb FC SFP+ transceivers (short, long, and extended long wavelength). It supports Full Fabric mode (F_Port, M_Port, E_Port, D_Port) and Access Gateway mode (F_Port, NPIV-enabled N_Port). The number of activated ports is model-dependent and can be upgraded via licenses, but the physical chassis provides 24 SFP+ ports.

Installation Notes

The unit features a 1U rack-mount form factor with dimensions of 43 mm height, 429 mm width, and 307 mm depth. It includes four fixed fans with N+1 cooling redundancy providing non-port-to-port side airflow. Power is supplied by a single fixed 150 W AC power supply (100-240 V) with an IEC 320-C14 connector.
