It adds two 2.5" NVMe drive bays to the rear of the chassis — the right solution when front bays are fully committed and you need additional high-speed NVMe capacity without reconfiguring the primary storage layout. The NVMe interface bypasses the SATA/SAS controller stack, delivering direct PCIe-attached throughput that matters for latency-sensitive workloads: caching tiers, write-ahead logs, or fast OS/boot volumes in a dense compute environment. Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR630 V2 (1U rack server). This kit is not cross-compatible with SR630 (V1), SR650, or other ThinkSystem series — the rear bay mechanical footprint and backplane connector layout are specific to the V2 chassis revision.
