Description

Lenovo 00D9690 MELLANOX CONNECTX-3 10 GBE ADAPTER-SYSX

Overview

The Lenovo 00D9690 is a Mellanox ConnectX-3 Ethernet network adapter designed to provide 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for select Lenovo ThinkSystem servers. This dual-port adapter addresses the need for higher network bandwidth in environments such as data-intensive surveillance recording, high-performance computing clusters, or storage area networks where standard Gigabit Ethernet becomes a bottleneck. Its PCI Express host interface ensures efficient data transfer to the server's CPU.

Compatibility

This adapter is specifically engineered for compatibility with the following Lenovo server models: x3100 M5, x3250 M5, x3500 M5, x3550 M5, x3650 M5, x3850 X6/x3950 X6, and nx360 M5. Integration with other server platforms is not supported.

Installation Notes

The 00D9690 is a full-height PCI card, but it includes a low-profile bracket for installation in smaller chassis. It supports jumbo frames up to 9600 bytes, which can improve network efficiency by reducing the number of packets required for large data transfers, provided the network infrastructure also supports jumbo frames. The adapter operates within a temperature range of 0 to 55 °C and relative humidity of 20-80%.
