Description

Middle Atlantic RM-LCD-PNLK 3U Pivot/Tilt LCD Rackmount Panel with Knuckle

Overview

The RM-LCD-PNLK is a 3-rack-unit pivot/tilt LCD panel mount from Middle Atlantic designed for integrators who need a locally operable display inside a 19-inch equipment rack. The knuckle joint allows the panel to pivot and tilt to a usable viewing angle without breaking the rack footprint — the practical choice for head-end rooms, NOC racks, or AV control enclosures where a fixed-angle display creates a sight-line problem. At 8.2 inches deep, the RM-LCD-PNLK fits most rack enclosures and open frames without protruding past standard rear rails.

Compatibility

Built to standard 19-inch EIA rack dimensions (19 in W × 5.25 in H / 3 RU), this panel mount installs in any 19-inch two-post or four-post rack. The two-point mounting pattern is compatible with standard rack rail hole spacing. Weight capacity is 27 lbs (12.2 kg), which accommodates most commercial LCD monitors in the 15–24-inch class — verify your display's weight before specifying. Pair with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures or third-party open-frame racks that accept standard EIA 19-inch hardware. If you are deploying alongside network video recorders or other head-end equipment in the same rack, the 3RU footprint leaves room for stacking adjacent 1U and 2U devices.

Installation Notes

The panel mounts at two points to standard rack rails — confirm your rail hole spacing matches EIA-310 before ordering. The 8.2-inch depth (front face to rear of mount) must clear any rear-rail or cable management obstruction inside the enclosure. Total installed weight of mount plus display must not exceed the 27 lb rated capacity; exceeding this load rating risks joint creep and display drop over time. No tools beyond standard rack-mounting hardware are specified in the manufacturer documentation.
