HID 1386NGGNN Isoprox II Proximity Access Card
Overview
The HID 1386NGGNN is a non-programmed Isoprox II proximity access card—a passive, durable credential for any access control system already running HID proximity readers. At 0.24 oz and wallet-sized, it pairs with existing reader infrastructure without requiring network integration or active power on the card itself. Non-programmed means you assign the card identity at the controller or management software layer, not at the hardware level. This is the standard choice for replacement cards, bulk credential provisioning, or systems where card programming happens upstream in your PACS database.
Compatibility
Works with all HID proximity readers and HID-compatible access control systems. The card supports standard proximity formats up to 85 bits, delivering over 137 billion unique code combinations—enough to prevent ID collision across large enterprise deployments. Because it is non-programmed and non-numbered, you must configure the card identity in your access control panel or management software after issuance. If your system requires pre-programmed cards with fixed external numbers, specify that requirement during procurement instead.
Technical Details
Read Range & Reliability: Passive proximity technology delivers consistent read distance unaffected by body shielding, keys, coins, or variable environmental conditions. This removes the most common source of reader frustration—inconsistent detection when credentials are in pockets or bags.
Form Factor & Durability: Durable polycarbonate construction rated for wallet or badge-clip use. Gloss finish (front and back) resists fingerprints and is suitable for photo ID overlays if your badge system requires dual-function cards.
Administration: Non-programmed cards require a cross-reference list (your PACS maintains this internally) correlating physical card to assigned user and access level. This is standard procedure and adds no operational friction beyond any proximity-based system.
