Description

Bosch IIR-50940-SR Short Range IR Illuminator

Overview

The Bosch IIR-50940-SR is a 940nm infrared illuminator designed to enhance the low-light performance of IP cameras in surveillance applications. Its 940nm wavelength offers near-invisible illumination, minimizing disturbance in sensitive areas. The unit provides adjustable beam angles and intensity, allowing you to precisely match illumination to camera capabilities and scene coverage, reducing wasted light and power consumption. This illuminator is ideal for extending the effective range of cameras in complete darkness or low-light conditions, ensuring clear footage for identification and monitoring.

Compatibility

This illuminator is compatible with any IP camera featuring a 1/1.8" or larger sensor and a lens capable of capturing 940nm IR light. It is designed to work with cameras that have a minimum illumination capability of 0.01 lux or lower, or cameras that utilize IR sensitivity. The adjustable beam angles (10°, 30°, 60°, and 95°) allow for flexible integration with various camera focal lengths and fields of view, from narrow, long-range applications to wide area coverage.

Installation Notes

Requires a 12 to 32 VDC power supply, consuming a maximum of 13W. The illuminator features a 3-meter (9 ft) integrated cable. Mounting is facilitated by an included stainless steel U-bracket, allowing for versatile positioning on walls or poles. The anodized aluminum extrusion housing and polycarbonate front window provide IP66 environmental protection and IK09 impact resistance, suitable for outdoor deployment. The photocell sensitivity can be adjusted between 20 lx and 70 lx to control activation based on ambient light levels.
