HID 2000CGGNN Proximity Access Card
Overview
The HID 2000CGGNN is a passive proximity access card built on the iCLASS platform — no battery, no moving parts, designed for straightforward credential issuance in facilities running HID proximity-based door control. This model ships non-programmable and without a slot, meaning it arrives blank and ready for your system to provision the access rules. Weight is minimal (6.8 gm), so it fits standard wallet and badge-clip configurations without friction.
Compatibility
Works with all HID proximity readers currently deployed. If your site has HID-based access control infrastructure, this card integrates without additional hardware or driver work — the reader and system recognize the iCLASS format natively. Cross-reference your system documentation to confirm HID proximity reader support; nearly all HID access panels from the past two decades accept these cards.
Installation Notes
No installation required on the card itself. Once received, provision the card through your HID management interface by assigning it an access level and associating it with a cardholder record. The non-programmable design means you cannot load credentials directly onto the physical card — all access logic lives in your access control panel or central management system. Store unused cards in a secure, dry location away from extreme heat or magnetic fields (proximity cards are RF-based but long-term exposure to high magnetism can degrade performance).
