Overview
The NVR-R-2-200TB-V5 is a 2U rack-mount network video recorder built for large-scale IP surveillance deployments across campuses, municipalities, and critical infrastructure. This model pairs dual Intel Xeon Silver 12-core/24-thread processors with 64GB of system RAM and 200TB of integrated storage to handle continuous, high-bitrate recording from hundreds of simultaneous camera streams while executing real-time analytics and forensic search operations without performance degradation. The unit is factory-configured with Windows Server 2025 Standard Edition, dual 1100W hot-swap power supplies, and embedded iDRAC9 for out-of-band remote management. Form factor: 2U (3.41" H × 18.98" W × 28.4" D) with up to 12 x 3.5" SAS enterprise drive bays supporting RAID 5 or RAID 2 configurations. The NVR-R-2-200TB-V5 is fully tested and ready for immediate deployment without additional configuration.
Compatibility
This recorder integrates with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera ecosystem (Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha, and OEM vendor streams). Network architecture supports two 1GB BASE-T ports and two 10GB SFP+ ports for high-concurrency multi-stream ingest at 600–1000 Mbps recording rate performance. Designed to aggregate metadata and analytics outputs from edge-based intelligent cameras and video analytics appliances. Pre-installed VideoInsight Edition software with VI Server Activation provides immediate connectivity to compatible IP camera deployments; additional integrations via ONVIF Profile S/T and native vendor SDKs are supported. Recommended for deployments planning 600–1000 Mbps sustained ingest; for lower bitrate operations (300–600 Mbps), consider single-processor variants in the i-PRO NVR-R series.
Installation Notes
Unit requires standard 4-post rack with minimum 28.4" depth to accommodate rear drive bays. Rails included. Dual 1100W power supplies accept 200–240V AC input; recommend two separate circuit breakers for redundancy. Onboard TPM 2.0 and AES encryption available for data-at-rest protection. iDRAC9 Express embedded NIC for out-of-band diagnostics requires dedicated network segment or VLAN to prevent broadcast storms. No monitor included; provision a separate KVM switch or remote desktop access for initial commissioning. Fully configured and tested before shipment — no OS installation or drive formatting required.
