The HPE S6A72A is a 1600W redundant power supply module engineered as a replacement or spare unit for HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 servers. This accessory fits environments where power supply redundancy is mandatory—data centers, colocation facilities, and mission-critical deployments where a failed PSU cannot wait for warranty service. The S6A72A maintains the thermal and electrical specifications required by DL360 Gen11 architecture, ensuring the server continues to operate without performance degradation or thermal throttling.

Compatibility

The S6A72A is designed exclusively for HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 1-socket and 2-socket configurations. It will not fit earlier DL360 generations (Gen10, Gen9) or other HPE ProLiant families without mechanical or electrical modification. Verify your current server model before ordering—mismatched PSU generations can cause system boot failures or power sequencing errors. Installation Notes

Installation requires the server to be powered down and unplugged from mains power. The hot-swap PSU slot must be accessible—some server configurations with dense cable management or adjacent equipment may require temporary component repositioning. The module slides into the rear PSU bay with a single latch mechanism; no additional fasteners are required. After insertion, the PSU will be automatically recognized by the server's Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) management interface within seconds. Firmware verification is automatic; manual driver installation is not required.
