Overview

The HPE HS5C7E is a 3-year service contract providing Call-to-Repair support with Defective Media Retention for HPE DX380 GEN10 systems. This service ensures rapid resolution of hardware issues, minimizing downtime and protecting sensitive data by retaining failed drives. It is designed for environments requiring high availability and data security, specifically within US delivery zones.

Compatibility

This service contract is exclusively for HPE DX380 GEN10 systems configured with 2, 3, or 4 identical nodes. It supports configurations utilizing Intel Xeon E5-2680v3/v4, E5-2660v3/v4, or E5-2640v3/v4 processors, with RAM options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB DDR4 DIMMs per node. Compatibility extends to systems with 4GB battery-backed write cache per node and various storage configurations including all-flash (9.6TB per node) or hybrid storage options (6.4TB, 5.6TB, or 7.2TB per node). Network connectivity options of 10 GbE SFP+ or 1 GbE RJ45 per node are also supported.

Installation Notes

This is a service contract and does not involve physical installation. The service is activated upon purchase and applies to eligible HPE DX380 GEN10 hardware. Defective Media Retention ensures that failed storage drives are not returned, mitigating data breach risks. The service is valid for US delivery locations and requires the system to be registered for support.
