At 0.91 lb, it installs cleanly inside the existing chassis envelope without adding meaningful weight to rack load calculations.
Compatibility
The 872336-B21 is designed for the HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 server platform specifically. The DL580 Gen10 is a four-socket, 4U rack server; this riser kit supports dual-processor (2P) configurations and provides six slim-form-factor PCIe expansion slots. Verify your DL580 Gen10 is configured for the 2P riser position before ordering — the DL580 Gen10 supports multiple riser configurations, and mismatched risers will not seat correctly. This kit is not compatible with DL580 Gen9 or earlier generations, nor with other ProLiant family members such as the DL360, DL380, or DL560.
Installation Notes
Install this riser into a powered-down, fully grounded system following HPE's standard ESD precautions. Slim-form-factor PCIe cards are required — full-height or half-height standard cards will not fit the slim riser slots.
