Honeywell PROSIXSIRENO Wireless Outdoor Siren
Overview
The Honeywell PROSIXSIRENO is a wireless outdoor siren purpose-built for ProSIX alarm systems. It delivers up to 85 dB sound output with synchronized red and white LED strobe patterns—white for intrusion events, red/white for fire and CO alarms. The siren pairs with ProSeries control panels via SiX two-way encrypted wireless technology (128-bit AES encryption), eliminating the need for hardwired siren runs to exterior mount points. Battery-powered operation (4 lithium AA batteries included) makes it viable for locations where running dedicated siren wiring is impractical or cost-prohibitive.
Compatibility
The PROSIXSIRENO integrates with Honeywell ProSeries panels including the PROA7PLUS and PROA7PLUSC. It uses SiX two-way encrypted wireless protocol, meaning it communicates securely back to the control panel and will not pair with non-ProSIX systems or legacy Honeywell alarm platforms. Confirm your panel model supports ProSIX wireless devices before deployment.
Installation Notes
Mount the siren on a wall or ceiling, positioning it to broadcast toward the perimeter you want to alert. The 300+ foot open-air wireless range assumes clear line-of-sight; obstacles (walls, metal structures, dense vegetation) will reduce effective range. Since the device runs on four AA lithium batteries, plan for battery replacement intervals based on alarm event frequency and any continuous strobe or test cycles. Keep the siren away from extreme heat sources and prolonged direct water spray at the base of the unit, even though it is outdoor-rated.
