Honeywell PROSIXCTV-BR Wireless Door/Window Sensor

Overview

The PROSIXCTV-BR is a wireless door and window contact sensor in brown housing designed for ProSeries security panels. It uses a magnetic reed switch to detect entry or closure on any door or window frame. The sensor transmits detection events via SiX two-way encrypted protocol — 128-bit AES encryption means eavesdropping or signal hijacking won't compromise your perimeter monitoring. Typical deployment: one sensor per protected entry point, paired with a PROA7, PROA7PLUS, or PROA7PLUSC panel. Battery pull-tab enables quick staging; auto-enrollment simplifies panel commissioning.

Compatibility

Compatible exclusively with Honeywell ProSeries panels: PROA7, PROA7PLUS, and PROA7PLUSC. The PROSIXCTV-BR operates over SiX wireless technology native to these systems. Remote configuration and over-the-air software updates are supported via the panel. Do not attempt to pair with non-ProSeries Honeywell systems or third-party panels.

Installation Notes

Wireless range is up to 200 feet in open air — real-world range on a residential or commercial installation will be 30–80 feet depending on walls, metal studs, and RF interference. Mount the sensor body on the fixed frame (door or window jamb) and the magnet on the moving element; magnetic contact closure triggers transmission to the panel. User-replaceable lithium battery powers the unit and includes tamper protection. Ensure clear line of sight or test range during commissioning. Brown finish suits residential and light commercial aesthetics.
