Description

Honeywell PROOUTMV Outdoor MotionViewer

Overview

The PROOUTMV is a battery-powered outdoor PIR motion detector with integrated digital video camera and white illuminator designed for ProSeries (PROA7PLUS) security system installations. When motion is detected on an armed partition, the device captures an image or up to a 10-second video clip and transmits it to Total Connect along with an alarm notification. This video verification capability reduces false alarms and enables faster, higher-priority first responder dispatch by confirming whether an intrusion is active rather than relying on sensor detection alone.

Compatibility

The PROOUTMV integrates exclusively with ProSeries (PROA7PLUS) control panels. Video and alarm notifications route through the control panel to Total Connect, and footage is viewable via the panel, secondary touchscreen keypads, or the Total Connect mobile and web interface. The device supports Awareness (armed partition only) and 24-hr. Awareness Zone Response modes with programmable sound options: None, Chime Only, Continuous Trouble beeping, or Alarm On siren.

Installation Notes

The PROOUTMV operates on a 3V battery and is rated IP30 — adequate for eaves, porches, and covered outdoor locations, but not for direct rain exposure or submersion. An optional curtain sleeve mounting bracket (available separately) allows customization of the motion detection activity area. Battery life and operating temperature specifications are not detailed in available documentation; consult the full ProSeries installer guide for environmental operating limits before deployment in extreme climates.
