Description

Unitech 5200-900014G Hands Free Scanner Stand

Overview

The Unitech 5200-900014G is a hands-free presentation stand engineered to hold 2D area imager scanners in a fixed, upright position for counter or desk deployment. This accessory solves the workflow problem in retail checkout, customer service, and document processing environments where operators need to scan barcodes without gripping the scanner—freeing both hands to handle product, ring sales, or process paperwork simultaneously. The stand ships ready to use and requires no assembly or tools.

Compatibility

This stand is designed exclusively for the following Unitech scanner models: MS838, MS838B, MS836, and MS836B. These are presentation-class 2D imagers typically deployed at fixed points of sale or service desks. Verify your scanner model before ordering—the mechanical interface is engineered specifically for these form factors and will not accommodate other Unitech scanner families, handheld models, or third-party brands. Installing the 5200-900014G on an incompatible scanner will result in poor fit and potential damage to both stand and device.

Installation Notes

Position the stand on a stable, level work surface away from counter edges or drop zones. The stand provides a rigid base but does not include cable routing guides or cable management—route scanner communication and power cables behind or alongside the mount to prevent trip hazards or cable stress at the edge. The weight of the stand (0.35 lb) is light enough to reposition frequently, but ensure the base footprint matches your counter layout before permanent placement. No torque specifications or fasteners are required for typical counter mounting.
