The Geovision 86-NRMD2-001U is a complete NVR Lite surveillance system combining a 4-channel network video recorder with four fixed mini dome cameras. This kit is designed for small to mid-sized installations—retail locations, small office lobbies, warehouse receiving areas, or access points—where four synchronized camera feeds consolidate into a single management appliance. H.264 compression keeps storage requirements modest while maintaining usable image quality across all four channels. Each dome camera draws power via PoE (802.3af), eliminating separate power runs and simplifying cabling infrastructure. The mini dome form factor provides a compact, discreet profile suitable for indoor and semi-protected environments.
Compatibility
This system is engineered as an integrated unit. The included 84-MD110-1A1 mini dome cameras pair with the GV-NVR Lite recorder and operate within Geovision's surveillance ecosystem. The four-camera configuration is fixed; the NVR itself supports up to 32 pure IP channels via additional licenses, allowing future expansion with third-party ONVIF-compliant IP devices if your monitoring needs scale. Standard IP network infrastructure—a PoE-capable switch or injector supplying 802.3af per port—is all that is required to deploy this system into existing Ethernet infrastructure.
Installation Notes
Each mini dome camera operates on 802.3af PoE power (nominal 13W draw), so verify your network switch or injector has sufficient PoE budget: 4 cameras × 13W minimum = 52W total. Cable runs should follow standard structured cabling practices; the system supports NVRS cable category infrastructure. Mount the domes via the included hardware; the compact form factor suits both wall and ceiling installation in indoor or covered environments. Confirm environmental temperature range (-10°C to 50°C typical for mini domes) before mounting in extreme locations. No separate UPS or DC power supply is needed if your network infrastructure is already redundant.
