Overview
The Geovision 55-G800B-160 is a 16-channel capture card designed for the GV-800 hybrid DVR platform. This card slots into the DVR's PCI expansion slot and extends or replaces the baseline capture capability, allowing you to add or upgrade video input channels when your original capture hardware reaches capacity or requires field replacement. Use this when you need to scale an existing Geovision DVR system without replacing the entire unit.
Compatibility
The 55-G800B-160 is compatible with Geovision GV-800 series hybrid DVR systems. Verify your chassis revision and available PCI slot count before ordering—card installation requires an open PCI slot and may require DVR firmware updates to recognize additional channels. Installation Notes
Installation requires the DVR to be powered down before card insertion. Ground yourself to prevent static discharge before handling the card. The capture card draws power from the DVR's internal PSU; verify your DVR's available power headroom before installation—undersized power supplies may not support all 16 channels under sustained load.
