Geovision GV-1120B Analog Capture Card
Overview
The Geovision GV-1120B is a 16-channel analog video capture card that converts composite video (CVBS) signals from standard analog security cameras into digital streams for PC-based recording and playback. This card solves the integration problem when legacy analog camera plants need centralized, software-backed processing without replacing the field cameras. Deploy it into a workstation or server running Geovision GV-Center VMS or compatible third-party management software to consolidate 16 simultaneous analog feeds at 1.3 megapixel (1280×1024) resolution per channel.
Compatibility
The GV-1120B connects to any standard CVBS (composite video) camera output — legacy dome, bullet, or fixed analog cameras commonly found in retail, manufacturing, and multi-site deployments. It functions as an internal expansion card in a standard PC or workstation with available PCI/PCIe slot. Integrates with Geovision GV-Center VMS and supports third-party video management platforms via standard capture card APIs. No external power supply required; the card draws power directly from the host computer.
Installation Notes
Mount the capture card into an available internal slot on the host computer. Connect BNC coaxial cables from each analog camera output directly to the corresponding video input on the card — typical installations run 16 coaxial runs back to the capture card location. The dedicated capture hardware reduces CPU load compared to software-only digitization, improving system stability under sustained 16-channel recording. Ensure the host PC meets minimum CPU and memory requirements specified in the GV-Center documentation for your channel count and frame rate target.
