Overview
The GV-MOUNT501 is a convex corner box mount designed to position IP PTZ cameras at interior or semi-protected corner installations where standard wall or ceiling mounts are not feasible. Corner positioning solves a specific deployment problem: maximizing perimeter coverage in confined architectural spaces (retail corners, lobby intersections, warehouse entry angles) without sacrificing PTZ pan-tilt-zoom functionality. The convex geometry accommodates the mechanical envelope of PTZ optics and ensures unobstructed movement through the full rotation range.

The GV-MOUNT501 is engineered for Geovision IP PTZ camera systems, specifically supporting the 150-MT501-000 series applications and compatible Geovision IP PTZ models. Verify your specific PTZ camera model against Geovision's compatibility matrix before ordering — corner mounts are not universal, and mounting interface geometry varies by PTZ head design. This mount is rated for indoor and semi-protected (covered outdoor) environments only.
Installation Notes
Corner box mounts require solid structural fastening at both corner edges to distribute PTZ mechanical load (pan-tilt servo forces during movement). Mounting surface must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the PTZ camera head, lens, and pan-tilt mechanism — typically 4–8 kg depending on the PTZ model. Ensure corner angles are 90° ±2° for proper seating. No integrated power delivery or cable management is built into the mount itself — route PoE and signal cables independently using conduit or cable trays to avoid pinching during PTZ movement. Do not exceed the maximum tilt angle specified by your PTZ camera manufacturer, as corner geometry may limit upward tilt range compared to standard wall mounts.
