The Geovision GV-HDD is a 2TB surveillance-grade SATA II hard drive purpose-built for continuous 24/7 recording in DVR and NVR systems. Unlike consumer-grade drives, the GV-HDD firmware and mechanical design are tuned for predictable video streaming I/O patterns — reducing latency and improving system stability when handling sustained recording loads across multiple camera channels. Compatibility
The GV-HDD integrates into Geovision recording systems and third-party DVR/NVR platforms supporting SATA II connectivity. Installation requires a standard 3.5-inch drive bay and SATA II connectors. Verify your system BIOS supports the drive capacity and interface revision before installation. The drive is compatible with legacy and current-generation DVR/NVR hardware; however, newer systems using SATA III or NVMe may not require this interface version — consult your recorder's documentation to confirm SATA II is your connection type.
Installation Notes
Mount the drive in a 3.5-inch bay with appropriate vibration isolation to reduce mechanical stress during continuous operation.
