The Geovision GV-MULTI is a video output and management display module designed to extend the GV-VMS platform's monitoring and playback capabilities across multi-monitor control room setups. This accessory distributes quad-channel video output, enabling operators to view live and recorded feeds on multiple displays simultaneously — a critical requirement for 24/7 security operations centers where single-screen bottlenecks cost response time.
GV-VMS itself supports up to 64 channels of IP video (both GeoVision and third-party ONVIF cameras) with H.265 and H.264 GPU-accelerated decoding. The GV-MULTI module integrates into this ecosystem to handle display distribution, allowing drag-and-drop layout customization across monitors and support for 4K panel resolution — meaning you can tile 16 or more camera feeds on high-resolution displays without software complexity.
The GV-MULTI module integrates with GV-VMS (supports up to 32 channels on base license) and GV-VMS Pro (up to 64 channels), both running on 64-bit Windows 8/8.1/10/11 or Server editions 2012 R2 through 2022 with minimum 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended for 64-channel deployments).
GV-VMS itself supports over 500 GeoVision and third-party IP camera models via ONVIF, so any camera in your existing install or future expansion that speaks ONVIF will display through the GV-MULTI quad output. The system also supports GV-CMS (GeoVision Central Monitoring Station) for failover recording, GV-Mobile Server for remote access, and integrations with GV-Edge Recording Manager, GV-Control Center, and GV-Dispatch Server.
The GV-MULTI module connects to a GV-VMS installation already running on your management PC or server. No separate power supply beyond the host system is required. Display output requires standard video cables compatible with your monitor hardware (HDMI, DisplayPort, or DVI depending on your graphics card). Deployment scenarios include control room installations (retail, enterprise, education), multi-site monitoring where regional feeds aggregate on shared displays, and dispatch center environments where event correlation across feeds drives faster incident response.
