Description

Middle Atlantic FVS-800-CAT6-20F FlexView CAT6 Retractable Cable Accessory

Overview

The Middle Atlantic FVS-800-CAT6-20F is a 20 ft (6.1 m) CAT6 retractable cable designed for the FlexView conferencing cart ecosystem. It solves a specific AV integration problem: keeping a live network drop at the collaboration space without permanent cable runs or loose cord management on a mobile cart. The 20-foot reach gives enough slack to connect a display, huddle device, or network switch on the cart to a wall port without straining the connection — useful in mid-size conference rooms where the cart moves between positions. Mounting hardware is included, so the retractor mounts directly to compatible FlexView cart surfaces without sourcing additional fasteners.

Compatibility

The FVS-800-CAT6-20F is purpose-built for the Middle Atlantic FlexView conferencing cart family, specifically the FVS-800 series carts with HuddleShot FC integration. If your deployment uses a different Middle Atlantic cart series or a third-party mobile stand, verify mounting cutout and retractor bay dimensions before ordering — this retractor is not a universal fit. The CAT6 termination supports Gigabit Ethernet at standard 1000BASE-T, making it compatible with any PoE or standard network switch port on the room's infrastructure side. It is not rated for outdoor or high-humidity environments; install in climate-controlled conference or classroom spaces only.

Installation Notes

Mounting hardware is included — no separate bracket kit required. Route the retracted cord through the cart's cable management channel before securing the retractor body to keep the cord path clean under retraction. The unit weighs 5 lbs (2.3 kg), so verify the cart's accessory rail load rating if stacking multiple retractor or cable management accessories. International deployment is supported.
