Viking Electronics SP369-E40 E-40 Replacement Board with Cable
Overview
The SP369-E40 is the replacement main board and cable assembly for Viking's Viking Electronics E-40 series single-gang entry phones. If an E-40 unit has failed at the board level — loss of call progress detection, audio dropout, or unresponsive auto-answer — this assembly restores full function without replacing the entire weatherized enclosure. Telephone line powered design means no separate power supply is required; the board draws what it needs directly from the POTS line. Intelligent call progress detection and selectable auto-answer are retained in the replacement, so reinstalled units behave identically to factory configuration.
Compatibility
Designed specifically for the door entry phone E-40 series. Compatible enclosures and assemblies include:
- E-40-BK — Black entry phone with color video camera
- E-40-SS — Stainless steel single-gang entry phone
- E-40-WH — Single-gang white door entry phone
All three variants share the same single-gang form factor and telephone line powered architecture that the SP369-E40 board supports. Do not attempt to fit this board into multi-gang or non-E-40-series Viking enclosures — mechanical and electrical compatibility is specific to this product family.
Installation Notes
The SP369-E40 is a board-level intercom replacement part intended for technician installation. Single-gang mounting geometry must be verified against the existing enclosure cutout before installation. Microphone and speaker volume controls are onboard — set levels after reinstallation and before closing the enclosure. Telephone line powering means the line must be live and within normal POTS voltage range for the board to operate; verify line voltage before condemning the replacement board.
