Overview

The Comnet RMB3 is a dual-module rack mount adapter kit designed to mount two ComNet ValueLine network switches (models with 8.6-inch/217 mm width dimensions) into a single 19-inch standard equipment rack. The RMB3 solves the space constraint when deploying multiple managed Ethernet switches in surveillance and industrial network installations where rack density matters — two devices fit vertically aligned within standard 1U spacing, eliminating the need for separate rack positions.

Compatibility

The RMB3 is engineered for ComNet ValueLine managed Ethernet switches with 8.6-inch (217 mm) width dimensions. This includes the ComNet CWGE2FE8MSPOE and other select ValueLine modules in the same width class. Do not use this kit with ComNet models requiring different width adapters (such as the CWFE8TX8MS, which uses the RMB-1 kit for 9.85-inch/250 mm width switches). Verify your switch model's width specification before ordering.

Installation Notes

The kit mounts into any standard 19-inch equipment rack cabinet. Assembly is mechanical only — no power or network configuration is required at the bracket level. Ensure your rack has adequate vertical clearance for two full-width switch units stacked vertically. Standard rack screws and cage nuts are compatible with the mounting rails provided.
