DMP FG-730 Acoustic Glassbreak Detector
Overview
The DMP FG-730 is an acoustic glassbreak detector designed to monitor for the acoustic signature of breaking glass at windows, glass doors, and glazed openings. It integrates with DMP XT and XR Series control panels to provide immediate perimeter intrusion detection when glass is forcibly broken. Unlike passive devices, acoustic detection responds to the distinctive frequency and energy signature of shattering glass—reducing false alarms from wind, vibration, or normal building noise.
Compatibility
The FG-730 is compatible with all DMP XT Series and XR Series control panels. It operates on standard alarm system voltage supplied by these panels and communicates via standard alarm signal protocol. Installation requires a compatible receiver module paired with the control panel; wired receiver configurations integrate the detector into the panel's zone architecture.
Installation Notes
Mount the FG-730 within sight line of protected glass surfaces—acoustic sensors require direct acoustic path to detect breakage effectively. Placement near HVAC ducts, heavy machinery, or continuous ambient noise sources may degrade detection sensitivity. Standard alarm system wiring applies; no special power supply required beyond panel voltage.
