Overview

The DMP 635F-R is a 2.50" deep flush mount metal backbox engineered for keypad reader installations where conduit-based cable management is required. This backbox solves the mechanical installation challenge of mounting DMP keypad readers cleanly into drywall or structural surfaces in fire alarm and remote-annunciator applications. The 635F-R accepts conduit entries through five 3/4" x 3/4" knockouts, providing clean cable routing without exposed fittings on the wall face.

Compatibility

The 635F-R is designed specifically for DMP 630F keypad readers. Verify your keypad model before ordering — this backbox will not fit other DMP reader types or third-party brands. Mounting uses four pre-drilled holes to anchor the backbox securely to wall studs or backing material.

Installation Notes

Backbox dimensions are 9.25" wide x 6.375" tall x 2.50" deep. This shallow depth is suitable for standard drywall installations; if your application requires deeper wall cavities or legacy conduit runs with larger bend radii, confirm knockout placement against your conduit layout before mounting. The five 3/4" knockouts are factory-drilled and ready for immediate use — no additional drilling required. Install the backbox first, then route conduit and terminate cables to the keypad from the rear. Ensure all knockouts not in use are capped with appropriate 3/4" conduit caps to maintain fire rating and prevent debris ingress.
