Overview

The DMP 366/2 is a 12VDC sealed lead-acid battery with 18.0 ampere-hour capacity, purpose-built to provide emergency backup power for access control panels and security systems during primary power loss. Shipped as a package of two units, the 366/2 sustains panel operation—door strikes, readers, communications, monitoring—long enough to either restore AC power or execute an orderly shutdown. If your XT or XR Series panel needs to stay powered through a brief outage or supply a second battery bank for redundancy, this is the fit.

Compatibility

The 366/2 integrates with all DMP XT Series and XR Series control panels. Verify your panel model against DMP's compatibility matrix before ordering. This battery is a direct replacement component for existing XT/XR installations and can be paired as a secondary or upgrade unit in systems already running one battery. It does not interface with third-party panels outside the DMP family.

Installation Notes

The 366/2 connects via standard lead-acid battery terminals; follow your panel's wiring diagram for polarity and terminal torque specs (typically 50–60 inch-pounds to avoid terminal damage). Mount the battery in a temperature-controlled enclosure—sealed lead-acid batteries perform best between 50–80°F and lose capacity rapidly above 95°F. Keep the battery away from open flame and ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. No special tools beyond a wrench and torque driver are required.
