DMP 364/20 12VDC Sealed Lead-Acid Backup Battery
Overview
The DMP 364/20 is a 1.3 Ah, 12 VDC sealed lead-acid battery designed to provide temporary backup power for access control and security system panels during outages or system transitions. This is a drop-in replacement or supplementary power source for DMP XT Series and XR Series control panels—panels that require reliable hold-up power when main power fails. A 1.3 Ah capacity at 12V delivers approximately 15.6 watt-hours of stored energy; for a typical panel drawing 0.5 A in standby, this translates to roughly 2–3 hours of runtime before the battery is depleted. The sealed design eliminates maintenance and contains spill risk, making it suitable for both residential and commercial deployments.
Compatibility
The 364/20 is engineered for DMP XT Series and XR Series panels. If your installation uses a DMP control panel in either of these product families, this battery is a factory-approved match. Confirm your panel model number against DMP documentation before ordering to avoid compatibility issues. The battery integrates with the panel's charging circuit and backup power management; no separate power conditioning or interface hardware is required.
Installation Notes
Sealed lead-acid batteries require terminal connections (typically spade lugs or posts) to the panel's backup power input. Ensure the panel is powered down before disconnecting or replacing an existing battery. Verify correct polarity—red (positive) to the positive terminal, black (negative) to ground or negative terminal. Keep the battery in a dry environment; temperatures between 50 °F and 80 °F (10 °C to 27 °C) are ideal for charge retention and longevity. Do not short the terminals or expose the battery to moisture. If the panel includes a charging circuit, the battery will trickle-charge during normal AC operation and discharge only when power is lost.
