Overview

The Middle Atlantic 2DB9 is a 2-port modular connector blank panel designed for installation within Middle Atlantic UCP (Universal Connector Panel) frame systems. At just 0.13 in deep and 3.49 in tall, the 2DB9 occupies two UCP module slots and provides a pre-finished mounting surface for DB9 or custom connector inserts — keeping your AV rack face organized and consistently finished across all connector positions. Black brushed anodized aluminum construction matches standard Middle Atlantic rack hardware without surface treatment or additional finishing work on-site.

Compatibility

The 2DB9 installs directly into the following Middle Atlantic base series frames: FK2, FK4, UCP-CH, UCP-CT, and UCP-SF. It occupies exactly 2 UCP module capacity slots within those frames. Confirm your frame's remaining module capacity before ordering — this panel consumes both available slots in a 2-module frame and two consecutive slots in larger configurations. It is not compatible with non-UCP Middle Atlantic rack systems or third-party modular panel frames.

Installation Notes

Panel dimensions are 3.39 in wide × 3.49 in tall × 0.13 in deep (8.6 cm × 8.9 cm × 0.3 cm). The shallow 0.13 in profile means no rear clearance is required beyond what the host frame itself demands — useful in shallow-depth enclosures where connector panel depth competes with cable management. The black brushed anodized finish is factory-applied; no painting or surface prep is needed prior to installation.
